Labor’s $1b hydrogen plan zeros in on Qld

Australia

Hydrogen is front and centre of a $1 billion federal Labor plan to boost Australia’s renewable energy industry.

The emerging industry could be worth $10 billion in 20 years and create 16,000 new jobs in regional Australia, the opposition says.

Labor’s plan includes establishing a National Hydrogen Innovation Hub in Gladstone, about 550km north of Brisbane, making the town the “hydrogen capital of Australia”.
